libgnomedesktop2.0-cil-dev software package provides CLI binding for GNOME Desktop 2.24, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgnomedesktop2.0-cil-dev
libgnomedesktop2.0-cil-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgnomedesktop2.0-cil-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgnomedesktop2.0-cil-dev *
You will get with libgnomedesktop2.0-cil-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
